The Centerstone Collaboration is a collaboration between Centerstone and the Indiana University School of Social Work . The Centerstone Collaboration consists of courses designed to prepare students for practice in mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Graduates become dually-licensed as both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC).
Admitted students join a top-ranked MSW program and gain specialized experience at one of the largest mental health care organizations in the nation. Students receive exceptional social work education and additional training in evidence-based counseling approaches including Motivational Interviewing (Mi) and Mapping Enhanced Counseling. Students learn additional evidenced-based practices including but not limited to: Helping Men Recover/Helping Women Recover, Seeking Safety, and Matrix IOP.
Students receive a $5,000 stipend while completing a two-semester practicum placement at Centerstone during the final year in the program. They receive a priority interview for employment at Centerstone after they finish their MSW, with additional financial incentives provided by Centerstone for employees who earn their LCSW and LCAC after completion of the Centerstone Collaboration.
