Elevate Your Social Work Degree with Honors
Social Work students may want to consider joining the Honors College. This requires a commitment to additional learning experiences. Students who join the Honors College and meet the additional requirements prior to graduation will receive the honors designation on their transcript and their diploma.
Students who enter Honors College through the Social Work pathway qualify for the Honors College Study Abroad stipend, but do not qualify for any additional Honors College scholarships.
Admissions Criteria
- Be a current student in the Indiana University School of Social Work at Indianapolis
- Have completed at least 15 credits at IU Indianapolis
- Have a IU Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above
- Have at least 4 additional semesters remaining at IU Indianapolis to complete BSW degree
- Complete the entire IUSSW Indianapolis Honors College application
- Submit the name of 1 Indiana University Indianapolis faculty or staff reference
